The launch we will see the 8GB and 16GB of storage models, but a 32GB is on the cards in the not so distant future

iPhone-fighter Emblaze Edelweiss to come with a 480 x 854 pixels display

According to the publication “Kommersant”, the Israeli company Emblaze Mobile has already prepared for sale clone of Apple iPhone. And, to begin selling the device, very similar in its characteristics with the iPhone, Emblaze Mobile is planning to Russia and already is negotiating with ITT and retail network of ION. Mobile phone from Emblaze Mobile called Edelweiss due on sale in Russia in March next year.

According to Vice President of Technology Vladlen Kardashov, the device works in GSM and 3G, has a built GPS-receiver, 3.5-inch touch screen with a resolution 480h854 point. The phone will be available in two versions: with a storage 8 and 16 GB.

Android and Windows Mobile smartphones are complementary, says HTC

According to John Wang, CMO, High Tech Computer (HTC), who added in saying the company will continue to simultaneously develop smartphones based on the two platforms.

The key element is innovation, said Wang, noting that the T-Mobile G1 is being rolled by combining Google’s Internet services, HTC’s proven capability in smartphone manufacturing, and T-Mobile’s telecom network resources.

While the introduction of Android handsets helps HTC expand its product mix, Windows Mobile-based smartphones will continue to be the most important market for HTC, Wang stated.

The LG KC780 8 megapixel camera phone is now officially confirmed, as we managed to snatch a press photo of the upcoming slider. We don’t have the specs of the KC780, but we know that it’s being touted by LG as the slimmest 8 megapixel phone to-date. That means it has to be slimmer than 13.8mm to qualify and beat the Samsung M8800 Pixon.

Sagem P’9522 is latest Touch smartphone

Almost eight years after the WA 3050, Sagem is back on the market for smartphones touchscreen. After a first collaboration with designer Porsche Design, the French indeed unveils its new P’9522, a high-end phone.

As for connectivity, is well endowed, as well as WiFi and GPS, could have HSDPA, though not fully confirmed. Something quite odd (but useful) is that it has a fingerprint reader on the front to lock when not in use. Its price is 600 euros, slightly higher if one considers that for that price you can get better models.
