LG Electronics displayed its PRADA Phone 2 and Bluetooth timepiece PRADA Link at Mobile World Congress 2009.

The PRADA Phone 2 is equipped with s a slide-out qwerty keyboard added to the original 3-inch touchscreen design. An internal overhaul also added new features including 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, quad-band GSM, a 5-megapixel camera phone and a front-mounted second camera for 3G video calls.

The PRADA Link beeps and vibrates on your wrist when there is an incoming call or a text message. Press the top button at the side to mute or the bottom button to reject the call. To answer, use your Bluetooth earpiece or whip out the phone. Caller ID is displayed on watch’s screen, which can fit three lines of text.

AT&T and Pantech Wireless revealed the Pantech Matrix Pro. The new Matrix Pro features dual-sliding, double-keyboard and includes a larger LCD screen, a chat-style view of text messages, tri-band 3G, more memory, a faster processor and AT&T Video Share calling. It is running Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard edition.

The Matrix Pro will be available Feb. 24 in a steel-blue metallic finish at AT&T company-owned stores and online at www.wireless.att.com for $179.99 after a two-year service agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate.

i-mate at the Mobile World Congress has shown off a credit-card sized smartphone, named as the Centurion, after the high-end American Express card of the same name.A touch-screen handset known as the Legionnaire would fit into the laptop shell and provide its processing power and also as a touchpad. Both the Centurion and Legionnaire will have HSDA connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and microSDHC card slot. Windows Mobile 6.5 is expected to be the operating system.

The Centurion Smartphone is also expected to be released at summertime in the UK with approximate price of $550 without a contract.
