Sprint and Kyocera Sanyo Telecom today announced the upcoming arrival of SCP-2700 by SANYO, a messaging phone featuring a full QWERTY keyboard with threaded text messaging, 1.3 megapixel camera, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Family Locator, Sprint Mobile Email Work, Social Zone application, and Bluetooth

The specs of Sanyo SCP-2700 include:

  • 1xRTT connectivity
  • 2.2 inch TFT display with 320 x 240 pixels and 65K colors
  • Bluetooth
  • Enhanced messaging features
  • 1.3MP camera
  • Talk-time: up to 4.8 hours

So how much this SCP-2700 will cost? Only $29.99 – obviously with a two-year contract agreement and after the usual $50 mail-in rebate.

Sony Ericsson today revealed the T707, a 3G fashion phone.The T707 lights up when you receive a call and you can personalise the light settings to each of your friends, so you always know who wants you.

“The T707 is the next step in the style evolution from Sony Ericsson,” said Linda Schori, Global Marketing Business Manager for Style Category, Sony Ericsson. “Maria Sharapova is the perfect partner for us as she exemplifies not only elegance but also substance, just like the T707. Sony Ericsson plans a relatively quick launch and ships the T707 sometime during the spring in black, blue and pink colors.

Samsung today introduced the first 8 Megapixel phone for the Korean market: Samsung Haptic 8M (model name: SCH-W740). Apart from its 8-megapixel lens, Samsung SCH-W740 or the Haptic 8M has other features that are equally high-end and include a big 800×480 pixel touchscreen display and support for HSUPA for up to 5.7 Mbps. Samsung Haptic 8M will soon be available from SK Telecom, for about $660.
