AT&T has just opened a new webpage dedicated to the forthcoming BlackBerry Bold smart device which will be exclusive to the carrier in the US for an unspecified timeframe.
The device features a landscape half VGA (480×320) display, quadband GSM/EDGE access, triband W-CDMA access with support for UMTS and HSDPA high speed data access and full international 3G roaming, Wi-Fi radio with support for advanced WPA encryption, microSDHC slot, 1GB of internal memory, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, flash and zoom, speakerphone, media player, voice activated dialing, noise cancellation, document viewer/editor, GPS transceiver, and Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo audio support.
The provider is short on details and says only that the phone will be available later in the year as an exclusive for AT&T in the US. A launch date and price still haven’t been set, though the Bold may now clash with the iPhone 3G as both phones are now set to launch in July with a price topping out at approximately $300 after signing a contract.
