 AT&T Launches BlackBerry Bold

Finally AT&T has officially launched the evolution of the BlackBerry platform in the Bold 9000.The device features a landscape half VGA (480×320) display, quadband GSM/EDGE access, triband W-CDMA with support for UMTS and HSDPA high speed data access, full international 3G roaming with support for Japanese and Korean sub-bands, Wi-Fi radio with support for advanced WPA encryption, microSDHC slot, 1GB of internal memory, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, flash and zoom, speakerphone, media player, voice activated dialing, noise cancellation, document viewer/editor, GPS transceiver, and Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo audio support.

AT&T will also be including free Wi-Fi access at corporate Starbucks locations with the purchase of the Bold and a qualifying data plan.

The phone is now available from AT&T for $549.99 with No Commitment or $299 with new 2 year agreement before an additional $100 mail-in rebate via a prepaid Visa card, bringing the total cost to $199.
