Sanyo’s Katana Eclipse flip phone is currently available for purchase at Canadian wireless provider Bell Mobility instead. The MP3-capable clamshell features external music controls, has 10MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 8GB. The 1-inch external screen provides basic status and caller information, while the 2-inch internal display provides the interface to access Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail. Images and videos can be captured via the 1.3-megapixel camera complete with a self-timer, and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR allows wireless connection with A2DP headsets and headphones, among other options.
The Katana Eclipse can be purchased contract-free from Bell for nearly $275 CAD or $50 with a three-year term.
P.S The phone should come to Sprint’s network in the next few weeks.
