Sony Ericsson Xperia 10 Mini Pro Now Available In Australia

The new Xperia X10 mini pro is now available in Australia. The Sony Ericsson Xperia 10 Mini Pro comes jam packed with a QWERTY slider keypad for quick texting, a 2.55-inch (240 x 320) capacitive touchscreen display, a 600MHz processor, a 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), 3G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and Android 1.6 OS. The Xperia X10 mini pro also incorporates Sony Ericsson Timescape, the signature application which brings all communication together in one place so users can see text messages, missed calls, and Facebook and Twitter updates at a glance, without having to open various different applications. Available in black, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro will be launched in Australia next month for $629.

Here is the first full touchscreen Walkman phone namely the YENDO from Sony Ericsson. The YENDO measuring 93.5mm x 52mm x 15.8 mm and weighing 81 grams, this music phone features a 2.6-inch display screen with 262k colors and 320×240 resolution, a 720MHz processor, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a 2MP camera with 4x digital zoom, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) and a Micro USB slot. Also the Sony Ericsson YENDO comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Orkut, and Twitter apps, an FM radio, Java, Walkman player and TrackID. Available in Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Silver, White and Yellow, the Sony Ericsson YENDO will be available in Q3 2010. No word on pricing at this time.

Sonyericsson made official that the UX platform (UXP) for the Xperia™ X10 family of phones will be upgraded in Q4 2010. Example of updates are:

• Upgrade to Android OS version 2.1
• HD video recording as per the same execution as Sony Ericsson Vivaz™
• Wireless home connectivity via DLNA
• Improvements to signature applications Timescape™ and Mediascape
