Rugged Motorola Brute i680 launched by Sprint

Sprint and Motorola made officially the push-to-talk phone for Nextel – the Motorola Brute i680 and is available for $119.99 (with a 2-yr contract and a Nextel Direct Connect calling plan).

The Brute i680 is a bulky clamshell that meets the Military Specification 810F for shock, vibration, dust, low and high temperatures, radiation, salt fog, humidity, blowing rain and low pressure.

The new phone comes with Sprint Nextel’s exclusive Public Safety application, which “allows public safety personnel to communicate, even if they are out of network range – an irreplaceable communication tool in times of emergency.”

Sprint Announces Lotus Elite and Rumor Touch

Sprint announcedthe forthcoming launch of the LG Rumor Touch and Lotus Elite featurephones.

The LG Lotus Elite features an external touchscreen, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, microSDHC expansion slot and speakerphone.The red LG Lotus Elite will be available January 10th while the black version will launch on February 14th at $149.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $99.99.

The blue LG Rumor Touch have a big screen measuring 3.0 inch and is touchscreen at WQVGA resolution, sliding QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth with stereo audio support.Like the LG Lotus Elite have a 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, microSDHC expansion slot and speakerphone with no firm release date at this time.

Sprint and Kyocera rolled out the SANYO Incognito SCP-6760 which features a Titanium Black mirrored external surface that jumps to life with the activation of the phone’s glow-through keypad and OLED external display.

The phone boasts a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.6″ QVGA internal display. Incognito will launch exclusively online Nov. 30, known as “Cyber Monday”, and in all Sprint retail channels beginning Dec. 6 at a budget-friendly price of $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year Service Agreement.

BlackBerry Curve 8530 on Sprint

Sprint say that they will be adding the BlackBerry Curve 8530 to their smartphone lineup.

The Curve 8530 features BlackBerry OS 5.0, a landscape HVGA resolution display, dedicated media player keys, 3.5mm headphone jack, optical directional pad, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, redesigned QWERTY keyboard and Wi-Fi radio. It also includes preloaded applications including BlackBerry Media Sync, Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV access as well as a 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder. The BlackBerry Curve 8530 will be available in three color options – Black, Royal Purple and Red.

Sprint Launches Sanyo 3810 and Samsung Moment

Sprint also has rolled out the Sanyo 3810 and the long-awaited Samsung Moment.The Sanyo 3810 features an external display with a mirror finish when not in use, internal 2.4 inch QVGA display, large keypad, menu size control larger for easy navigation through menus and sub-menus, 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom and Bluetooth.

The Moment features Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube while featuring a Sprint first 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, sliding QWERTY keyboard and a virtual keyboard. Wireless provider Sprint started shipping its first slider phone that supports its Nextel Direct Connect push to talk service, the Motorola Debut i856. This phone provides users with the option to switch from active push to talk call to an interconnect voice call with a button specially meant for this purpose. The handset comes with a built-in MP3 player with external music controls and a 3D Audio equalizer. Audiophiles will love this feature.

The phone also offers Bluetooth with wireless headphones with a 3.5mm audio jack, a 1.3 megapixel camera with4x digital zoom and video capture. A GPS Sensor allows the captured images to be traced.
