A new LG media phone has been spotted, and will be out on the market by the end of the year, according to a BGR report. The LG Xenon handset sports a 2.8-inch, 240×480 LCD screen, which slides over to unveil a full QWERTY keyboard. It is apparently going through testing at AT&T, which will be the exclusive provider of the handset. The quad-band phone features 3G UMTS and HSDPA data support as well as assisted GPS and Wi-Fi.
LG Xenon, features:
-
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity
-
A 2.8 inch, 240 x 480 pixels display (most probably touch-enabled)
-
Wi-Fi and A-GPS
-
Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0
-
3 MP camera, sans autofocus but with VGA video recording
-
100MB of internal memory, expandable up to 16GB with a microSD / microSDHC card
-
105.5 x 53.5 x 15.8 millimeters
These specs are surely the ones of a good phone, so let’s hope the real look of Xenon is actually a bit different than what appears in the leaked picture.
AT&T should start selling the LG Xenon just before Christmas, for a price that’s currently not known.

I’ve had my LG Xenon with the last year, but I only recently discovered this web page, Up until now, I under no circumstances truly looked into making use of the phone as anything at all but a voice and SMS device, but though it was out for repair I had been making use of a Motorola KRZR as a back-up and I genuinely hated it. I’m also a former employee of Rogers Wireless, exactly where I was a member on the Network Operations group; they are the ones accountable with the inter/intra-site transport, switching and base-station network. Even though we never got to play with as well a great deal customer hardware, I do know for a simple fact there is ‘un-branded’ firmware obtainable for every phone out there. Just before a carrier decides to carry any cell phone they get a base design from the manufacturer that they demo and put as a result of tests – locating a single of these demo units would possibly be easier stated than accomplished nevertheless. Most of the time, they just get passed of to friends or family members members who do not even realize that the cell phone is unlocked and unbranded.
