Nokia N-series have always stayed in the market competition since the launched of the first N-series mobile phone by Nokia. Nokia N86 8MP is no exception to that. With features to leave you speechless, the latest Nokia cameraphone is a delight to use. With Sony Ericsson coming up with its CyberShot series, Nokia too has jumped into the megapixel race with Samsung not too far behind the same category. This time Nokia N86 8MP has focused more on the camera than on any other features to leave Sony Ericsson behind in this rat race.

So let’s begin with this Nokia N86 mobile review and see what Nokia has in store for us with this unique smartphone.

To begin with the design and the construction of Nokia N86 8MP, we found it a very medium-sized mobile phone which has a dual-slide design that adds a few advantages to the overall looks of the cellphone. With 149 grams of weight, Nokia N86 8MP becomes the heaviest N-series phone made by Nokia that would be one of the major disadvantage of Nokia N86. When it comes to looks Nokia N86 looks very much same like Nokia N81, but the use of different materials is what makes them look different to some extent.

The front panel of Nokia N86 is taken by the 2.6 inches screen with 16 million colors AMOLED display for better screen resolution. The keys below the display are good and easy to use. Even the D-pad is better compare to other N-series mobile phones by Nokia. The keypad is good and has more space in between the keys for better press. However, some might feel that the keys are too small and should have been a bit larger for those who have big fingers.

On sliding the Nokia N86 8MP the other way, it has four multimedia keys that controls music player and picture gallery, and even games too.

The left side of the Nokia N86 8MP hosts a tiny lock/unlock slider for keypad. However, this was unnecessary as the keys in slider phones are already protected when you slide the phone down. On the other side it has a camera key and volume rocker too. On the top panel it has the power key, the standard 3.5 mm audio jack and microUSB slot.

Nokia N86 has an 8 megapixel wide-angle camera on the back with dual LED flash. The active stand around the camera gives a much better look to Nokia N86 8MP. Apart from this Nokia N86 8 MP also has 8GB storage memory and supports up to 16GB, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPS receiver with A-GPS, Accelerometer, digital compass and FM radio with RDS.
