
Truphone today launched a beta of its mobile internet telephony service, Truphone Anywhere, for BlackBerry smartphones. When an international number is dialled, the Truphone software detects what is happening and takes over automatically. Truphone Anywhere will then make a domestic call to local Truphone server and sends to the server the international number being called. The Truphone server then makes an internet call to that number and connects that long-distance internet call with the domestic call the customer pays only for the call to the local Truphone server.

Casio has unveiled the latest Casio Exilim W63CA camera phone that features a superb 8.1MP digital camera with image stabilization, 9-point autofocus, and a wide-angle lens. The camera also sports YouTube video mode so you can upload the video files directly to the site. Other features include a 3.1-inch 480×800 OLED screen. Unfortunately, the Casio Exilim W63CA is available only in Japan next month

Orange today announced that the HTC Touch HD handset will be available in the UK from early November, exclusively on the Orange network. The handset will also be available from Orange in France and Romania in the forthcoming months.

One month ago Samsung was introduced a new phone called the Pixon. The Pixon’s primary feature is an 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus, fast-shutter, face detection, geo-tagging and LED flash.According to the Uk blog Dialaphone the Samsung PIXON M8800 will be released in the UK at the end of the month. The video camera can take at 30 and 120 frames per second, allowing for slow motion playback. It also has a feature that creates a virtual 5.1 channel surround sound audio mix of what you record. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, as well as HSDPA 7.2 Mbps at 2100MHz, Bluetooth 2.0 and an FM radio with RDS. It has a TV-out jack and supports microSD cards. Pantech launched its dual-slide 3G phone ‘Pantech Matrix’ in the United States via AT&T. Adopting both a full qwerty keyboard and a numeric keypad, the Pantech Matrix features dual-band UMTS/HSDPA, a 1.3M camera, Bluetooth, AT&T Navigator service and Video Share support. It is available in red, blue or black.
Motorola has announced the availability and current presale of the most expensive example of the manufacturer’s R&D experience.The Motorola AURA is the spiritual successor to the venerable V70 first introduced in 2002 on T-Mobile and AT&T (Cingular) but adds a spate of new features and improvements over the older model.

The phone features a swiveling cover finished off in mirror-finish stainless steel that features a Swiss-manufactured main bearing in concert with hardened gears and ball bearings, on top of a sapphire crystal lens.

Nokia launched the BH-804. It lasts for about four hours of continuous talk despite its size and builds in DSP-based noise canceling to cut back on outside noise. The headset uses a micro USB connector to recharge and comes with a desktop charger to simplify powering up. Nokia ships the BH-804 during the fall but hasn’t said which countries will release the add-on or at what price.
