Samsung S5600 and S5230 touchscreen handsets

Samsung S5600 and S5230 affordable touchscreen handsets announced.Samsung S5230 has a slim and compact body at 11.9 mm thickness but without HSDPA supports. Instead of a QVGA screen on the Samsung S5600, the S5230 has a WQVGA full-touch screen in 3-inch size. It is also powered by the TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets and comes with a 3 megapixel camera. The Samsung S5600 featuring a 2.8-inch QVGA, comes with a 3 megapixel camera and SmileShot feature for smile detection auto shutter.
Samsung S5600 specs include:
- Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), GPRS/EDGE, UMTS 900/2100. HSDPA 7.2 mbps connectivity
- 2.8” 16M color 240×320 QVGA TFT touchscreen display
- 3 megapixel camera with 15 fps QVGA video recording
- FM Radio with RDS
- Bluetooth 2.1, USB2.0
- 80MB of built-in memory
- microSD memory card slot (up to 8GB)
- Dimensions: 102.6×55×12.9mm
- Battery: 1000 mAh
Another handset is a 2.5G Samsung S5230, with very similar specs and a bit bigger screen. Its specs are:

- 3 megapixel camera

Samsung S5600 will start shipping in May, and Samsung S5230 will hit the stores in April. Both phones are headed for Europe.
