Sprint this weekend launched two new phones. Both phones are now available both online and in Sprint Retail Stores. The Katana Eclipse may be the last phone to be sold under the Sanyo branding, as Kyocera has acquired the company since the Katana Eclipse went into development. The Eclipse is a fusion of two prior models; the Katana II and Katana DLX. It will also replace the mid-to-low end Sanyo’s SCP-3000 family in Sprint’s lineup
The Motorola VE20 is a higher-end phone, aimed at replacing the Motorola RAZR2 V9m, which Sprint ambiguously pulled from its lineup abruptly earlier this month. Sprint also pulled the Motorola Q9c at the same time. The VE20 is similar to the RAZR2, but lacks an external touch screen.
