Sprint will announce “significant” job cuts next month in a move to reduce “its bloated cost structure.” To add on to that Sprint Nextel could also consider lowering its prices to gain traction against market leaders AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless. Later it was confirmed by Sprint that Sprint Nextel executives doesn’t favor price cuts but hasn’t ruled out layoffs. Keep in mind that last month, Sprint said it was offering voluntary buyout packages to an unspecified number of its 57,000 workers. Seems like Sprint’s New CEO is trying really hand to make it happen.
