T-Mobile has launched a placeholder page on its online store announcing pending availability of the MOTOROKR E8 Linux-based multimedia phone through its network with new information pointing to a release on Monday July 7th for $199.99 after new 2 year agreement and rebate.
The phone features Motorola’s ModeShift dynamic display technology which allows the phone to operate in three given modes (Phone/Music/Imaging) at any time without the constraint of physical keys hampering usability or control in any mode.
The phone also includes an FM radio with Song ID, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, media player with support for MIDI, MP3, AAC, AAC+, Enhanced AAC+, WAV, AMR-NB, and Real Audio v10 playback, Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo audio support, CrystalTalk noise reduction technology, text to voice announcements, HTML web browser, and a 3.5mm standard headphone jack emphasizing the focus on music playback for the device.
