The T-Mobile G2 is a matter of discussion with many smartphone enthusiasts and the images of the handset keep popping up on the web from time to time. The set of images to go public this time around is the official one, as these images have been picked up from the T-Mobile’s official site.

Factually speaking, we’ve had a lot of images popping up every now and then and what we will prefer is to know the specific release date of the ‘probably’ Android 2.2 powered device. It is also a hyped product because the G2 is featuring a 1GHz processor as well and these specs will gel well with the 3.7″ OLED display and the 5MP camera.

T-Mobile roll out the new version of the Sidekick LX QWERTY smartphone, which has been leaked in a survey. T-Mobile does not give this new phone a new name, instead the carrier simply re-use Sidekick LX like it does on the new version of Sidekick.

T-Mobile’s new Sidekick LX features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with LED flash, integrated GPS and a microSD card slot. The new phone comes with more social element offering applications for MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, as well as YouTube.

The QWERTY slider is priced at $199.99 with contract and after rebate.

 T-Mobile to offer G1 in more European countries

German Deutsche Telekom’s wireless unit T-Mobile will begin selling its G1 phone, which has been available in Britain and the United States since October, in several European countries in coming weeks.

The G1 phone, made by Taiwan’s HTC Corp, features a touch-sensitive screen, a computer-like keyboard, and Wi-Fi connections as well as popular Google applications such as search, maps and mail.

T-Mobile announced that, starting January 30 2009, the G1 will be launched in Austria, the Netherlands and Czech Republic.

Also, Germany should get the smartphone on February 2, while later that month, the much-discussed device will reach Poland.
