Pantech rolled out the SKY Sportive IM-U540L touchscreen phone that is available via LG Telecom only in Korea. The device features a 3-inch touchscreen, a 3 Megapixel camera, integrated DMB TV tuner, GPS support and Bluetooth.

Other than 62MB onboard memory, the IM-U540L supports microSD cards. The phone comes in White Red, White Silver, White Blue and Black Pink .

HTC officially announced the Hero that is the company’s third Android smartphone (the G3). Like the Magic (G2), the Hero is boosted by Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor. The Hero has a 3.2-inch 320×480 touchscreen LCD display, a trackball with enter button, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera and integrated GPS receiver. It supports Both Bluetooth 2.0+EDR/A2DP and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity. The smartphone packs also G-sensor, microSD/SDHC card slot and digital compass.

HTC Hero’s media player supports MP3, AAC(AAC, AAC+, AAC-LC), AMR-NB, WAV, MIDI and WMA9 audio files and MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, WMV9 video formats.

Hero will be released in Europe in July, Asia in Summer and N. America later this year.

The phone is basically a less advanced version of the Omnia II.The OmniaLITE has a touchscreen display, a 3 Megapixel camera, support for A-GPS, WiFi and a 3D multimedia player. It supports HSDPA networks.

Nokia has announced the release of what it says is the ultimate Trekkie accessory – the Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition.The Star Trek 5800 comes included four special Star Trek animated screensavers, three Star Trek wallpapers and eight exclusive ringtones, including “Phazer Shot”, “Red Alert” and “Kelvin Communicator”.

The 5800 XpressMusic Star Trek will be available at Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and O2 free with a GBP25/Month contract. It is available in Blue, Red and Black/Silver.

Samsung officially announced the I7500, its first Android-based smartphone. The I7500 features a 3.2-inch 320×480 AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, 8GB internal storage, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0. You can also expect integrated GPS receiver to be used with Google Maps.

Samsung I7500 supports tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA as well as quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. The phone supports playback of MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV as well as MP3, AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+, WMA, RA audio files. It supports microSDHC up to 32GB.

The I7500 runs Google’s Android OS and comes with Google services, including Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar, and Google Talk.

ASUS intros the P552w touchscreen phone

ASUS announced today a touchscreen PDA phone called ASUS P552.Also It’s called Glide and features several native applications such as Asus Today, EziPhoto, EziMusic and Anytime Launcher. Bluetooth 2.0 with ADP is also supported, as is a USB 1.1 connection for sync. All popular digital audio files are supported and content, including photos and videos captured by the 2.0-megapixel camera, is stored either on the integrated 256MB of flash memory or on a microSD card accessed via the built-in expansion slot. The 2.8-inch touchscreen sports a 240×320 resolution.

ASUS in its typical approach has not announced when or where the P552w will launch, or how much it will cost.
